Writing is just what I do. From short stories, to newspaper stories to non-fiction researched stories, it's just what I do. Currently I'm a freelancer with a daily newspaper and a member of a few writing organizations. I find it funny that I have a great sense of humor but have never attempted a funny story.
I've held many jobs including a cab driver (for about 15 years), a cashier and director of a Chamber of Commerce. I guess with all the varied jobs I've had, I've developed a good sense of people, places and things. There's always a puzzle to a disease, what makes people do the things they do, a song, heck just life in general. I like to solve puzzles so that's why I write.
I collect mystery novels (about 600 in my collection!) and perhaps might get the courage to write one. I have a cat named Finn McCool. I'm Irish with that natural gift of gab, another reason I can relate to people when telling a story, true or not. I'm hoping that people will be able to relate to me and the things I write about when I discover something fun or interesting.
